Tsuneomi Kawasaki was born in 1976 in Yamanashi, Japan. He received his Ph.D. degrees from University of Tokyo under the supervision of Professor Takeshi Kitahara in 2004. Then, he joined the group of Professor Kenso Soai at Tokyo University of Science. In 2012, he was promoted to Associate Professor at University of Fukui. Then, he moved and joined the faculty of Tokyo University of Science in 2017.
His research interests include chiral chemistry, asymmetric synthesis and asymmetric autocatalysis. He has received The Chemical Society of Japan Award for Young Chemists (2009), The Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Young Scientists’ Prize 2010), Banyu Chemist Award (BCA 2011) and Nagase Foundation Award 2013.
