About the STAT Meetings
When I was a master course student, even if I attended academic conferences, I often found it difficult to casually ask questions during sessions. I also wished to have more opportunities to exchange ideas with researchers of the same generation from other universities.
For this reason, I organized the first STAT Meeting in March 2008. The meetings are conducted in the atmosphere of a joint seminar that goes beyond the boundaries of universities, laboratories, and research areas. Researchers and students of all generations actively discuss their research and ideas together.
I would be very pleased if these meetings help participants enhance their research motivation by learning how other researchers and students continuously devote themselves to academic study and research.
