ABOUT

In the Composite Materials Engineering Research Division, we carry out engineering research to optimize CAE and aim to establish a strong industry-academia collaboration. Material development and finite element method at the molecular level accomplish this utilizing molecular orbital and molecular dynamics methods; fracture simulations using particle methods; and the design, molding simulation, and fracture analysis of actual structures.

As the members of the Research division specialize in a wide range of materials and structures, the research can be adapted to meet the needs of industry. The department becomes a large hub of commissioned and joint research. The brand power of the Tokyo University of Science in Japan is enhanced by numerous well-equipped CAE engineers graduating with practical knowledge gained through studies in the industry and making allowances for graduates to take large leaps forward.
