天体研究では、ブラックホール連星や高エネルギー天体を対象に、X線分光・時間変動解析・偏光観測を通じて 宇宙の極限環境を探究しています。XRISMやHitomiなどの最新衛星データを用い、 重力・プラズマ・降着現象の物理を明らかにすることを目指しています。
